The casting director for the upcoming new 1-hour scripted drama "Nine Lives" is currently casting teens for the series regulars and supporting roles. All ethnicities, male and female. There are also roles available for parents of the teens. The drama is based on the book series "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" by Celia Thomson.
Celia Thomson is the pen name for Liz Braswell, her other pen name is Tracy Lynn. Braswell produced video games for almost 10 years before she decided to make a career change and began writing novels. She produced a series of Star Trek video games for Simon & Schuster Interactive that was programmed for the Macintosh and PC platforms. Simon & Schuster, Inc. became publisher of Liz Braswell's novels.
The three novels in "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" series are titled The Fallen, The Stolen, and The Chosen. The general premise of the story is about an adopted girl who discovers she has super-human powers, must fight to protect others of her non-human tribe, and deal with high school also.
Dan Berendsen ("Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Hannah Montana: The Movie") will serve as executive producer and head writer of the series scripts. Alloy Entertainment will produce, with Leslie Morgenstein ("Pretty Little Liars," "Gossip Girl," "The Vampire Diaries") and Gina Girolamo serving as executive producers.
16 year old actress Skyler Samuels has landed the starring role of Chloe King. She is known for her role as Gigi in the Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place", and has also appeared in the Disney Channel shows "Drake & Josh", "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", and "That's So Raven." Other roles include Andie Bates in ABC's "The Gates", and Amber in Summit Entertainment's "Furry Vengeance". Skyler is represented by Cindy Osbrink of Osbrink Talent Agency.

Story:
Chloe King (Skyler Samuels) was a normal sixteen-year-old girl. She did her homework and got good grades, but she wasn't afraid to ditch class sometimes to hang out with her best friends. She slept at home, but otherwise avoided all human contact with her mom. The usual stuff. Then she fell from San Francisco's highest tower, and her life changed. For starters, she died. And then, she woke up. Now Chloe's life is anything but normal: Suddenly guys are prowling around her, she's growing claws, and someone's trying to kill her. Luckily for Chloe, she still has eight lives to go.
