"The Mistletones" will kick off ABC Family's "25 Days of Christmas" in 2012.

ABC Family is currently casting lead and supporting roles in Los Angeles for the upcoming musical telefilm "The Mistletones". Filming will take place from February 6th - March 19, 2012 in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The movie's stand-ins and extras will be hired in Salt Lake City throughout filming. The story follows young lady with and extraordinary singing voice who starts her own Christmas caroling group and sets out to win a competition.

Disney Channel veteran Paul Hoen will direct "The Mistletones". Hoen has directed such Disney productions as "The Luck of the Irish," "Tru Confessions," "You Wish!," "Even Stevens," "Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off," "Read It and Weep," "Jump In!," "The Cheetah Girls: One World," "Dadnapped," "Jonas," "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," "Zeke and Luther," "Madison High," and the upcoming "Let It Shine". Hoen's previous ABC Family directorial movie was "Searching for David's Heart". Executive producer Maggie Malina is re-teaming with writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. The three collaborated on past projects for MTV - Malina was Senior Vice-President of films.

ABC Family put five shows into production last year and opened up a third night of original programming. "Switched at Birth," the top premiere of 2011, was in turn used to launch "Jane By Design," executive produced by Gavin Palone and April Blair and starring Andie MacDowell, Erica Dasher and Nicholas Roux.

Returning series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," starring Golden Globe nominated actress nominee Shailene Woodley of "The Descendants," will have its season premiere March 26, 2012 along with "Make It or Break It".

The coming year will also offer another venture by ABC Family into musical telepics, with "Elixir", starring Chelsea Kane and Jane Seymour.

"The Mistletones" will anchor the next "25 Days of Christmas" series in December, 2012.

• African American male 35-65 who knows how to play piano a little. Pay is $200.00 for day

• African American little girl 5-7 yrs old pay is $125.00

• MUST be located in the Salt Lake City area.

Story:

Blessed with an extraordinary singing voice, Holly (Tia Mowry) is all set to audition for the newly vacated place in the famous Ridgefield, Connecticut Christmas group "The Mistle-Tones," which was founded by her late mother forty years ago. Shocked and upset when the slot goes to Stacy, the barely talented best friend of the group's de facto leader, Marci (Tori Spelling), Holly winds up convincing the local Mall Manager to hold a competition for the best Christmas group to host the yearly Christmas presentation at the mall. Putting together a group of her own with a few members from her office, Holly finds herself on a journey to the real meaning of Christmas, with a new singing group and a new love thrown in for good measure.

"Village People" is a half-hour comedy pilot for ABC Family.

ABC Family has ordered the pilot episode for a new half-hour series called "Village People". Casting for the series regulars is taking place in Los Angeles and New York. Smaller speaking roles, extras and stand-ins will all be cast in Los Angeles where shooting will take place. The show is being executive produced by the talented and beautiful Jennie Garth, who will also play the starring role of single career woman who adopts a baby from a teen mom and ends up taking care of the mother as well.

"Village People" will also be executive produced and written by Meg DeLoatch, whose writing and producing credits include "Family Matters," "Malcolm & Eddie," "One on One," "Eve," "Brothers," and BET's "Reed Between the Lines". A native of Maryland, DeLoatch combined her interests in theater, literature, and visual media and earned an interdisciplinary degree in Writing for Communication, from American University. She subsequently moved to California, where she participated in the Warner Bros. Writers Program and Bill Cosby’s, Guy Hanks Screenwriting Program, at the University of Southern California.

Story:

Intelligent, approachable, and gorgeous Alexa (Jennie Garth) is a Vice President for a record label, a woman who always talks and moves a little faster than anybody else. Organized, with a good sense of style, and a neat, ordered life, she shares a lovely, large home with her renowned archaeologist father in the Nashville suburb of Hillsboro Village. However, despite everything, Alexa feels a lack in her life. She desperately wants a baby, saddened to realize that she cannot conceive. So she embarks on a quest to adopt the baby of a 15 year old, 8 month pregnant foster kid named Ione, whose parents are in prison. Alexa then ends up not only adopting the baby, but also taking care of Ione.

ABC Family has ordered 12 more episodes of "The Lying Game" for season 1.

Update: On April 24, 2012, "The Lying Game" was renewed for a second season, which will premier in Winter, 2012.

The ABC Family series "The Lying Game", based on a series of novels of the same name by Sara Shepard, held an open casting call for extras in Austin, TX on November 19, 2011. All ages and types are still needed and can submit a photo and contact information. The show is filmed at the Austin Studios and various locations in and around the Austin area.

"The Lying Game" is currently half way through airing it's first season and is off for a mid season break, and returns for the second half of its season on January 2, 2012. However shooting will continue because ABC Family has bumped up "The Lying Game" another 10 episodes for season one to a total of 20.

The series follows the life of Emma (Alexandra Chando), a foster child who finds out she has an identical twin sister, Sutton (also played by Chando). Both girls were separated at birth with Sutton being adopted by wealthy parents and is seemingly living an ideal life. Sutton talks Emma into stepping into her life for a few days while she pursues their birth mother in Los Angeles. Initially excited to do this favor for her sister, Emma soon learns that Sutton has many hidden secrets. Now, Emma must continue to cover as Sutton while Sutton continues her search for their birth mother.

Starring in "The Lying Game" is Daytime Emmy Award nominated actress Alexandra Chando in the dual lead role(s) of Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer. Chando is best known for her role of Maddie Coleman in "As the World Turns". Other series regulars include Allie Gonino, Alice Greczyn, Kirsten Prout, and Andy Buckley.

Charles Pratt, Jr. is the shows creator, head writer, and executive producer. His credits as writer include the soaps "Santa Barbara," "General Hospital," "All My Children," as well as "Life Goes On," "Models Inc". Producing credits include "Melrose Place," "Titans," "Desperate Housewives," "Vanished ," and "Ugly Betty".
